Elena Nemtsova

Elena Nemtsova started her musical studies at the age of 5. In 1993 she became a pupil in Special Music School-Lyceum Rimsky-Korsakov with a piano as a first study instrument and composition as a second study.(C lassesIrina Ryumina, Eugeni Sinaiski and Svetlana Lavrova). In 2009 Elena graduated from St­ Petersburg Conservatoire with Distinction (Class es Nina Seregina and Sergei Slonimsky). During her studies in the Conservatoire she worked there as an accompanist in the main classes of cello and violin professors. Elena continued her musical studies doing her Masters degree in Performance with Davidjones andjunior Fellowship in Accompaniment at the RNCM in Manchester. Since then Elena has performed in various chamber music festivals such as Edinburgh Fringe and Buxton as well as played recitals in Wigmore Hall, Purcell Room, Royal Festival Hall and Bridgewater Hall as the Nemtsov Duo with her brother­ cellist. 20 I 0/ I I Elena did the prestigious International Artist Diploma m Chamber Music in RNCM with lessons from Benjamin Frith.

Elena is a top prizewinner of a various international competitions for composers and chamber musiciansincluding such contests as "I am a composer", "Christal Tuning Fork", Maria Yudina Chamber music competition and Piano Duo Festival-Competition "The Window to Europe". In 2008 Elena received a Special Diploma for the best accompanist in the Mravinsky Competition for strings. In 20 IO Elena and her brother cellist Mikhail won the prestigious Tunnel Trust award as a duo and gave 6 recitals in various concert venues in Scotland and Manchester Mid-Day Recital Prize. Nemtsov Duo won the 1st prize in the Salieri-Zinetti International Chamber Music Competition (Verona, Italy ) with a concert tour throughout Italy and a CD release on Azurra Music Records. Nemtsov Duo won 1st prize in Swedish Duo Int. Competition and 3rd Prize in Pinerolo Int. Chamber Music Contest both part of the WFIMC. In 2015 Nemtsov Duo released a new CD "60 Degrees North" on a new !able CMF (London).

Elena is an official accompanist in the Anton Bruckner University in Linz and Music and Art University in Vienna, Austria.
